Hack for Venezuela brings together members of the Venezuelan and
latinx community with students and professionals across various
disciplines to address the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis.
Venezuela has fallen victim to one of the most extreme humanitarian and refugee crises in recent history. The sudden dispersion of the Venezuelan community and the collapse of the country’s infrastructure present an urgent need for international assistance.
Due to decades of mismanagement and political unrest the people of Venezuela have become victim to some of the world’s most extreme humanitarian and refugee crisis. The dispersion of the community along with the collapse of the country’s infrastructure has presented an urgent need for international assistance.
By running hackathons to act as discussion points and opportunities to build out technical solutions are meant to alleviate the humanitarian crisis the Venezuelan community is now facing. In addition, this team has organized events in order to spread awareness and spark conversations in the New York and Boston Metro areas.
